The Commonwealth War Graves Commission’s Cambrai Memorial, Louverval Military Cemetery, France. The memorial commemorates the British and South African servicemen who died at the Battle of Cambrai and whose graves are not known. Designed by Harold Chalton, with sculpture by Charles Sargeant Jagger who sculpted some of England’s greatest war memorials, including the Royal Artillery Memorial, Hyde Park Corner, London and the Great Western Railway Memorial, Paddington Station.
